My name is Alvaro Avila. I’m a Piano Teacher.

Although English is my second language, I can Teach piano and other instruments (guitar & bass) in fluid English.

Through my many years of experience, I’ve been a Piano Instructor  for young kids, teens and adults who do not know much spanish yet.

Sometimes because they are part of families who work for an Embassy or foreign company.  Sometimes they are part of the Baptist Church community or students from the ‘Country Day’ school. Or maybe retired american adults who live here in Costa Rica.

My piano lessons are private. I visit you at home. In Escazú, Lindora, Santa Ana, Sabana or Rohrmorser.

I try my best to keep the student motivated by combining my classical suggestions, with the songs the student actually wants to learn (pop, rock, modern, whatever).  I create musical arrangements especially for the students’  level so they can play their favorite songs.

I do my best to guide them in their music learning experience.

Piano lessons for kids  and Piano lessons for adults.

My schedule is Monday through Friday from 9am to 9pm.

Saturday from 8am to 12 noon.
